My Home Office Transformation
This space has become one of my absolute favorites in the house. It’s small but cozy, tucked at the end of our laundry and entryway, and I knew it could be so much more than a storage spot. Originally a half bath, we kept it as such for a year while we determined what we really needed in this house. With a full bath downstairs already, we decided to turn it into a home office that feels classic, calm, and creative — a mix of cool tones and warm textures that I just love.
I wanted lighting that was functional but beautiful — and this semi-flush mount light was the perfect fit. It gives the space a little modern edge while casting the most flattering glow. It’s amazing what good lighting can do for a small room, and this one completely transformed the feel.
Then came the art — these botanical framed prints are one of my favorite finds from Wayfair. I wanted pieces that wouldn’t compete with the wallpaper but still added warmth and personality. The soft greens and beiges tie in perfectly with the rest of the palette, and the houndstooth matting adds such a charming, tailored touch. They come as a set of six, and the quality is incredible — I could easily see them over a buffet or sofa, too.
And my desk chair might be the unsung hero of the space. It’s so comfortable (I sit here for hours editing or working on designs!) and adds just enough warmth to balance the blue and white tones in the room. It has that classic-meets-modernfeel I’m always drawn to — what I’d call the perfect grandmillennial office chair.
A Look Back at More of My Favorite Wayfair Finds
This year has been filled with Wayfair gems all throughout our home — and I love that so many of them are on major sale for Way Day right now.
In our bathroom, these light-up mirrors we chose have been perfect for applying makeup — soft, diffused, and bright without being harsh. The marble-top vanity was such a good find, too. It looks so high-end for the price and has held up beautifully through daily family life.
Over at our condo, a few pieces have become absolute favorites. The burl wood console is such a showstopper — we use it as an entertainment cabinet, but it would work equally well under a TV, in a hallway, or as a buffet. It’s one of those pieces that instantly elevates a space. The swivel chairs we added there are another winner. They’re incredibly comfortable and add that laid-back, coastal-traditional look that fits the condo perfectly.
Back at home, I’m still obsessed with the new rug and chest of drawers in Mike’s den. The rug instantly brightened the room and helped balance the darker furniture, while the chest of drawers gave us much-needed storage without sacrificing style.
For storage solutions, two standouts come to mind — my freestanding closet and my bathroom cabinet. Both are functional and beautiful, and they make staying organized feel easy (and chic).
And for entertaining season, I’ve been reaching for my china from Wayfair — it’s timeless, slightly vintage-inspired, and so perfect for fall tablescapes.
