We spent some time yesterday rearranging the lattice room a bit. My parents are coming to visit this week, and having guests always sort of sends me into remodeling mode. I worry that we won’t have enough places for people to sit, or relax, or stretch out (to which Mike assures me that we definitely do NOT lack for seating in this house).
We started by rolling out a new rug in here. Loloi was gracious to send me this beautiful rug from their collaboration with Rifle Paper Co. I think it’s even prettier in person. Lots of nice pastels, green, blues, pinks, yellows, and corals. I was initially going to put it in my daughter’s room, but she’s requested a blue rug, so the one in here previously will probably head up there soon.
This rug is also super soft and plush. I think it’s even better down here because my kids play on the floor a lot, and I’d like them to have a softer, more plush rug for that.
We also added these swing-arm wall sconces! How fabulous are these. You can plug them in or hardwire them. We opted to plug them in. I filmed the process of installing them, so stay tuned for that.

The coffee table is a Facebook Marketplace find for $25. It was pretty discolored, so I recently spray painted it white. Loving it with this rug!

My dog Louie is constantly by my side, so you’ll often see him in photos. I swear he attempts to be in the photo and gets mad when I tell him to move aside.
I’m going to look for some block print shades for the sconces to match the large ones from Ballard on my lamps.
