One of my favorite parts of October is bringing out the Halloween decorations—and this year, I added a few new pieces from Wayfair. Flying Ghost Inflatables
The biggest hit in our house has been the set of inflatable ghosts that look like they’re flying right out of our windows. My husband, son, and I had the best time setting them up together—such a fun memory. What I really love is how they change from day to night. During the day, they’re bright white and perfectly spooky, but once the sun goes down, the red interior lights glow and make them look extra haunting.
Installation was simple: just attach the suction cups to your windows, plug them in, and let them inflate. I will say, it’s easier to get them set up on the downstairs windows versus upstairs—but totally worth the effect to have them all over your house!
Light-Up Ghost Wreath
For the front door, I wanted something festive but not too scary. I found the cutest ghost wreath that lights up with a small battery pack. It’s such an easy way to get in the spirit, especially on trick-or-treat night when kids are walking up to the house. Every time the lights flicker, it feels cheerful and welcoming—a perfect balance of spooky and fun.
I hung this up while my kids were at school, and my daughter was so quick to spot the change when we pulled into the driveway. I’d say she’s a fan!
Giant Fuzzy Spiders
Another quick addition I couldn’t resist? Fuzzy spiders. Wayfair sells them in different sizes, but I went all-in and ordered the 79″ spiders (go big or go home, right?). These are super versatile—you can drape them across shrubs, stoops, or even hang them off the side of your house. Inside, they make a dramatic statement too—I hung them in the dining room crawling up the wall, and my son thought it was the coolest. They’re super lightweight and collapse easily for storage. Just avoid putting them outside in the rain, and you’re good to go.
