This spring has been all about the little things—those finishing touches that bring a space to life and make it feel like home. Last year, we tackled some major renovations, transforming room after room with big-picture changes. This year, we’re shifting our focus to the details: thoughtful upgrades that bring each room closer to our vision.
I’m so excited to partner with Wayfair on this post to highlight a few of the recent additions around our home that have made a big impact without a major overhaul.
One of the things I love most about Wayfair is their incredible variety. Whether your home leans modern, traditional, coastal, or somewhere in between, there’s something for every style. Over the years—and across multiple homes—they’ve been a go-to source for us. Their fast, reliable shipping makes online furniture shopping easy, and I always find pieces that feel just right.
Dining Room Glow-Up: Elegant Candle Sconces
Let’s start in the dining room. When we added the mural wallpaper last year, I was hesitant to hang anything on the walls—I really wanted the mural to shine on its own. But over time, I realized the room needed a bit more dimension.
Enter these elegant gold sconces. They’re subtle but stunning, and they bring a warm glow in the evenings thanks to the battery-operated candles (also from Wayfair!). I especially love the automatic timers—such a simple feature that makes a big difference. These sconces would be beautiful flanking a doorway, styled on a mantle, or framing a foyer. Such an easy and affordable upgrade that really elevates the space.
Art That Anchors the Kitchen
In our kitchen, I had a large blank wall behind the island that was just begging for something. I finally found it—this framed canvas artwork that completely transformed the space. At 60” tall by 30” wide, it has incredible scale and presence, but still feels soft and classic.
The neutral tones and details give it a bit of that Grandmillennial charm with a contemporary twist. It’s such a versatile piece—I can see it working beautifully in a living room or hallway, too, especially in pairs if you have a wide wall to fill.

Spring on the Deck: Gardening Made Easier
Out on the deck, I’ve been spending more time refreshing our outdoor space—something I’ve wanted to do since moving back to Virginia. I love the climate here, and I was so excited to start gardening again… until the deer discovered my flower beds.
This raised planter box on wheels has been a game-changer. It gives me the freedom to garden without kneeling or bending over, and I can easily move it around the deck to follow the sun. I also love the built-in lower shelf—perfect for storing extra pots, garden tools or tucking in a few shade-loving plants.
There are several colors of planters to choose from, but I went with the classic white option that goes beautifully with the rest of our outdoor setup. Even my dad (an avid gardener!) was impressed. He loved that it made gardening more accessible and comfortable.
It’s amazing what a few well-chosen pieces can do to make your home feel more finished, more functional, and more you. Whether you’re looking for a room refresh or a seasonal update, Wayfair continues to be one of my favorite sources for timeless, versatile pieces.
I’ve linked all of these on my LTK, where you can find even more items I own and love from Wayfair.
Let me know if you’re also tackling any spring projects this year!
