Our New Outdoor Seating for a Classic, Coastal Look

Our new deck got a major upgrade thanks to these beautiful pieces from Birch Lane.  When they reached out to me, I was pretty giddy because I’ve always admired their classic pieces.  I selected this outdoor set (The Edicott) because of its great reviews, deep cushions (for Mike especially), and the beautiful woven design.

I would say the couch sits three comfortably, four if needed.  The chairs are also nice and wide.  My kids can sit together in one, if needed.

The coffee table is nice and sturdy (re: heavy!). I love that. It feels like it will last for ages.  I also that it’s a little difference from the chairs, so it doesn’t look too matchy-matchy.

I chose the Greek Key outdoor rug because I love a bold, classic pattern.  It’s soft underfoot, so I’d also recommend it for an indoor space too.  We used to do that when our kids were really little – outdoor rugs inside with a rug pad.  They were way more durable for our kiddos’ messes.

I also added this bar cart. I love the bistro look, and this one nails it.  The wheels also glide nicely, and three tiers holds plenty.

Louie immediately assumed his position and took a nap.  He gives it 10/10.

I added these outdoor covers for the pieces. Birch Lane recommends covering the set when not in use and storing it in the winter.  I’ll be doing that, but for now, these covers are absolutely water-proof for those summer rainstorms.
